Xtreme BioFilters was born of a passion for fish.

Long-time koi enthusiast Hung Hoang set out to create a new kind of filtration system, one that was easy to install, simple to operate and highly efficient. An engineer by training, Mr. Hoang designed breakthrough media that encourages healthy bacteria colonization and paired it with a mechanical diffusion filter that operates efficiently at low pressure.
Seven years in development, this patented filtration system is based on a dogged commitment to quality and excellence on every level, Xtreme BioFilter products are prosumer, that is professional grade in quality designed for the exacting consumer.

A division of SeaGateFilters, Inc., Xtreme Biofilters, Inc., was incorporated in 2006. We are a growing company that does not do everything. Our focus is filtration and we do it well.
